Miami is the front runner to host the travel Industry’s 2016 International Pow Wow. If this is not news to you then read further. This three day long extravaganza is anticipated to generate $400 million in revenue from future International visitors. Pow Wow is a three day trade show promoted by US Travel Association’s that provides an opportunity to the International wholesalers, travel agents and the media to meet the US Destination and attraction representatives.
Miami is no stranger to Pow Wow .In the past they have hosted it four times second only to Orlando. Each time the experience has been nothing less than stupendous. It has not just brought about a steady stream of visitors to Miami but has also helped them connect to Miami in way which is sublime in itself. In the words of Susan Lomax the Orlando’s bureau spokesperson it’s an invaluable opportunity to live, touch and experience the area. Participants though could not reap a windfall but still had modest gains .The Hyatt Regency Miami a Pow Wow exhibitor can vouch for the same. Ever since it’s participation in Pow Wow 2009 their wholesales business has picked up steam.
Had it not been for the downtown Miami improvement projects Miami could well host it in 2013 but nevertheless the visitors will get to see a better and newer downtown in 2016.Miami’s hosting status is not confirmed yet but if the words of Cathy Keefe, the association’s spokesperson are to be believed the US travel association is in talks with the city and it could well be Miami’s again.
